I heard this earlier tonight. It's from the Wall Street Journal. Thought it was worth sharing.

As of right now this is my new favorite movie. Chris and I saw it New Years Day and it was amazing, I honestly wanted to stay and watch it again!

This year we spent our tax money very wisely (I think) but..I am officially cut off from shopping here..or anywhere for that matter

We had my parents old washer and it finally dies on us..so yeah we got a new one and I LOVE doing laundry! It's so nice to have a washer that washes..and on the first try!!

Last but not least...we got rid of my old FULL size mattress and got a memory foam KING size one! It is fabulous. Chris or I can move around, get up, lay down and do jumping jacks without the other feeling a thing.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was at my mom's new house for the first time. The whole family was together and I loved it. Well all but Nana and Papa, the weather was super stormy and snowy and we thought it was in there best interest to stay warm in California. They were missed though. But my dad flew down from Seattle and my bother and sister came from college. I made semi homemade pumpkin bread and green bean casserole. It was so fun to be all together and eat yummy food. Mikey was loving the turkey (he's such a meat eating machine)

Mikey's hair was becoming a little too much for me. It was getting so long and just alot to maintain. So I (yes I am admitting it was my idea) had this thought.."hey, babe..let's just give him a buzz cut". Well, I'll just say it was a very long night in our home. I was crying as Chris was cutting his hair, crying while I was giving him a bath and yes, crying later in the evening too. I am so glad that hair grows! Hah. He would look cute no matter what hair style but we love his surfer hair. I do have to say though, Mikey's new haircut has given him a brand new attitude..he's a hoot.

I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up. He's becoming a very talkative, very wild, very mobile and a sometimes destructive toddler. And I know I will be that mom that will rock him even when he's a dad. It is by far me favorite thing in the whole world!

Thank you Mikey for coming into our lives. You make each day a special gift! I am so proud to have you as a son. You have definitely made mommy and daddy's life perfect!

My little boy was such a cute Monkey this year for Halloween! I think he enjoyed it but he's still too little to understand what's going on. But we still had fun! My sister and I decorated cookies and handed out candy at my mom's house while she was at work. I then took Mikey over to "trick or treat" at my Grandma and Grandpa's house. After about an hour visiting there it was time for bed. All in all it was a pretty low key but super fun Halloween 2010!

Our fabulous friends got married October 23rd!! Mikey and I drove up so we could share the special day with them. It was such a beautiful ceremony and reception. I am so grateful that I was able to be with my friend on this new step in her life. Rob and Jossie also flew me up for the weekend of her bachelorette party! We love you Craigs!!

September 7th was the big step towards big boyhood. Mikey got his first haircut. We went to this cute little salon called Cookie Cutters..he sat in a little car and picked out a Dora dvd. He was so good, didn't squirm or cry or anything. We didn't cut too much off..I guess I wasn't that brave. He's still a little surfer, but now you can see his eyes.

After the Nelson Family reunion in Idaho in August, we went to Grandpa Nelson's uncle Benny's farm. Mikey seemed to like the cows from a far..but wasn't too sure about them up close.

This summer Mikey has reached so many milestones! He is growing up so fast I can't believe it.

Here's what he's done this summer:

♥ Learned to walk (now he runs!!)
♥ Is eating all table food now and loves to eat and feed himself
♥ Graduated from a bottle to a big boy sippie cup
♥ Loves to read..he'll sit for ever just reading book after book
♥ Talks..kinda. He says: mamma, dog, da da, "Uh-oh", ball, "tickle tickle" (as he tickles you)
heh? (when I call for him, he'll come running and say that..almost as if I am bothering him hah.)ehh, no no, mmmmm (and he'll rub his tummy.
♥ Knows what a snake (sssss) and elephant (arm straight up in the air) say
♥ Can play Pat a cake and Itsy Bitsy Spider.
♥ Dances and claps
♥ Favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba and Caillou (on Sprout)
♥ Favorite game: chase. (he runs, we chase him) =)
♥ When he gets super sleepy he'll get delirious. It's so funny, he laughs and laughs and nothing..and his laugh gets us laughing..and it goes on and on. By far one of my favorite things about him. His infectious giggle.

I picked him from daycare one day and he was reading to three other kids, they were all sitting in a circle. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen.

Surgery

Mikey (and mommy and daddy) had a pretty rough first year. Mikey had about 6 ear infections..and the last one lingered for about 4 weeks. We decided.. along with the wonderful Pediatrician's that Mikey was the perfect candidate for ear tubes. We were so excited for our boy to finally be feeling better...and then....he got RSV (thank you daycare). So, we had to wait 8 weeks before the tubes. It was tough..but we all survived. Here are a few pics from the long awaited day(April 2010). Our Mikey was so brave!! =)

Utah Birthday Party: We went to a park..thinking May weather in Utah would be somewhat nice..but oh no..it was FREEZING!!! We had a good turn out I just wish it was warmer weather so the kids and everyone else could enjoy it. Next year we may need to have it indoors. =)

Things are pretty much the same around here. Mikey is still battling a double ear infection. He get's tubes April 5th..he can't get them sooner because of the fact that he had RSV. Sorry to my three followers (hah), I've been a bit behind. Here's what we've been up to:

* Mikey is getting his two bottom teeth in..and loves to bite everything and everyone

* Mikey is a few ounces shy of hitting the 20 pound mark

* I am loving my job, it's finally getting busy..and I mean BUSY!! So many sick kiddos =(

* Mikey has to have tubes put in his ears because he's gotten so many ear infections

* As of Feb 11th Mikey has a double ear infection, and today we just found out he has RSV (respiratory virus)--thanks daycare. He has a Nebulizer at home now and we've been doing breathing treatments every 4 hours. Poor guy can't catch a break.

*Chris is going to be starting Phlebotomy classes in May

* Mikey is so close to crawling..it's scary. But now he's just rolling around..alot. Hah

* When he's not sick, he is an eating machine! He holds his own bottle and tries to spoon feed himself every chance he gets.

* My little boy is always happy..even with a double ear infection! His smile and laugh melts my heart

* He loves to dance! Favorite song is "Low". Hah And he'll dance if I just sing.."la la la la"

* He is by far my favorite boy in the world ♥

Thanksgiving was extra special this year for many reasons, it was Mikey's very first Thanksgiving and it was the first time in 7 years for our family to be together for it. Gosh, I've missed my mom's cooking. =) It was so yummy!! And it was so great for us all to be together. Chris, Mikey and I spend the whole weekend in Washington. I loved being back home and I am so glad we had the chance to visit with friends as well! =) We love you all and miss you tons! *More pics coming*

We had a great Halloween. Friday Me, Chris and Justin went to Rexburg to pick up Jessica for the weekend. Mikey spent the day with Chris's sister, Michelle. He had a great time!! It's so great to have such a wonderful family! And we had a great drive as well. Long, but fun. Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out pumpkins (a little late but oh well) We also went and picked up a few more decorations and stopped by Chris's parents house to "trick or treat". While Chris carved our pumpkins, Jessica and I made homemade egg rolls and fried rice. Yummo!! We then ate, and watched "Charlie Brown and the giant pumpkin". =) Sunday, Jess, me and Mikey went to Grandmas and made Pad Thai and visited until it was time for her to catch the bus bringing her back to school. =( All in all it was an amazing weekend, just wish Tyler and mom and dad could have shared it with us.

The beautiful cabin we stayed in. It was so nice, I wanted to stay and live in it. I really contemplated just staying until the cops came and told me I had to leave. Hah. We drove up on Thursday morning and stayed through Sunday. A great mini vaca before I started my job.

Chris's grandma rents a cabin each year and pays for everyone of her children and grandchildren to come up. We all had such a wonderful time. Thanks Grandma!!!

Random facts about yours truly

Well, here are a few of my "random" favorite things. First off is of course my baby boy Michael.

I love this place. It has everything and in Utah it's a Superstore..so it has a whole grocery side too. I am also a huge fan of Wal mart (it's not ghetto/scary like it is is Washington hah) and Costco.

I use these wipes on EVERYTHING. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. I started getting them from Costco now because I use them so often.

My mom got me hooked on this drink. I am not a coffee drinker but love something warm in the morning. Pero and some coffee creamer is yumm-o!! I am currently drinking the Coffee mate Parisian Almond Crème creamer.

Phuket, Thailand. My all time favorite place. It reminds me of family. It's so relaxing, hot and has the best food. I want to plan a trip for me, my mom and sister one day.

I LOVE this series. I just finished book number 15, and I am trying to be patient for number 16. They are so funny, suspenseful and just addicting. Janet Evonovich is such an amazing author too.

Movies: I can re sight this whole movie. I am a huge Julia Roberts fan and this movie is my favorite.

I love football movies but this is my all time favorite. It's such a touching story and is so funny. It really makes you think and laugh and cry. Love it.

I can watch this movie over and over again and never get sick of it. =)

Tv shows: I love Criminal minds. It's kinda disturbing sometimes but I still like it. Hah. The characters and story lines are great.

Another favorite is Grey's Anatomy. I've watched it from day 1 season 1. And I own all the seasons.

Army wives is another favorite. I am so into it, I look forward to it every Sunday.

This is probably the only makeup product that I HAVE to have. It's the only mascara that I have found that works and doesn't clump.

I am obsessed with wicker baskets. I have tons around my house. Different sizes, colors and shapes. I love them because everything has a place. And I just like the look a basket gives.

Last but not least. My family. (I think they'll kill me for posting this picture but it's the only one I had of all of us.we're getting another one done in Nov. ) I would be nothing without my family. I love them all so much and am so grateful for them.

This was taken the day I went to the ER and ended up having surgery. He was not a happy camper..I am sure he was confused as to what was going on. He kinda got passed around family members that day and night. Poor thing, but he was a trooper. And I am so thankful for all the help I received.

We got him this "tummy turtle" so he can strengthen his neck and head. Hes not quite sure about it though. He'll play and enjoy it for about 5 minutes then that dang pillow gets all moved around and hes all out of sorts. Hah. Hes such a wiggle worm.

I can't believe Mikey is already 2 months old! Everyone says, "it goes by fast" and wow it really does. Mikey is 11 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long. Wowza. He is for sure a good eater. It's so neat because his little personality is beginning to show. He loves to be outside, his favorite store is Target, he really enjoys car rides, and he loves to cuddle with daddy. (he told me all this yesterday) =)

Well my baby boy is almost 2 months old, I can't believe it. Hes getting a big heavier and doesn't fit into most of his Newborn clothes anymore, he has a very long body. The past 4 nights hes been sleeping 7 hours straight. Yeah! He'll go down about 10 or 11pm and wake up at 5 or 6am. It's awesome. Hopefully it continues. Hes also eating alot, usually about 5 ounces sometimes more, sometimes less. But he loves to eat. =) Hes also looking around alot, has huge eyes I love them. He smiles alot too (not sure what ones are gas related..but it's very cute non the less). =)

Last week, Chris proposed!! It was SO sweet! He got down on one knee in our apartment and asked me to be his wife. =) It was so sweet and such a wonderful feeling. I was crying and so was he. He said I'll get the ring next week or so. He has it already picked out. Now..the planning begins. We're thinking October. I want a fall wedding, the colors are so beautiful. I can't wait!! Mikey and I took a little vacation to Everett to visit my family. They drove from Yellowstone to WA so we thought we would visit for a wee bit. Mikey and I flew up, which, in the future we will be flying with daddy. Mikey did great on the flight and luckily a few very sweet people helped us go through security and such. The Silverlake house is "under construction" so we stayed in a suite, and went to the house each day and cleaned up. I really wasn't much help but oh well. =) It was so great to be around family. They're all such a great help with Mikey. They'll be back here in Utah in August to get the twins ready for college and bringing Justin back. (he graduates his Army helicopter training Aug 14th and will fly to WA from there). I am so thankful that my family is back in the states!! And..side note...Chris's company is based out of Fife Wa, so..we'll be looking into a transfer. I can't wait.

Mikey had a one month check up so we could check on his weight..and yes, he is growing!! I knew he was. I could tell his fingers and toes were getting chunkier. He is now 7 pounds 13 ounces. (2 weeks ago, he was 6/1..wowza). I think hes gonna be a very "healthy" boy. =) He is eating All the time, almost 4 oz each feeding. Yikes. And the Dr said he is doing great and looks perfect! I can't believe it's already been 3 weeks since my baby boy was born. Hes growing alot already. Eating tons and is so strong. One night I let him cry for about 4 minutes in his bassinet while I made a bottle, I came to get him and he was turned all the way around and his diaper was off. Goodness gracious. I already know Mikey has a mind of his own, stubborn, and pretty much just does what he wants. I mean he came 3 1/2 weeks early and hes a Gemini. Hah. I know hes gonna be a big talker too, he makes noises all the time..he'll stretch for almost 5 minutes straight and then he'll wake himself up by making these little "oohs" "ahhhss" and "grrrs". Mikey loves to stretch. He gets both his arms going up above his head, arches his back and straightens out his legs. I love the little sounds he makes too. Mikey's jaundice levels have finally gone down and he is off the lights and no more heel pricks for labs. Yeah!! His poor little heels break my heart..so picked on, but hes a tough guy..not once did he cry for more than 30 seconds. I am so proud of him. =)

Hes beginning to sleep alot better now too, which is nice cause then I sleep. We're also out of the "tar like diaper" stage..those are yummy. Hah. He seems to already be growing and changing everyday to me. I can just sit and stare at him for ever. Hes very animated, already. He'll suck in his little bottom lip when hes upset and he sleeps just like a little man, with his mouth wide open.

Well, my baby boy decided he was ready to come into this world a bit early. Almost a month early. Friday night the 29th, I got home from work around 9:45pm, had some dinner, read, and got ready for bed. Chris and I were talking about labor and how nervous I was and all that before we went to bed. We turned off the lights and I felt a sharp pain and then..GUSH!! I, somewhat calmly said, um I think my water just broke..Chris said, huh, shut-up, I replied...well I didn't pee my pants I know that for sure!! He jumped up and ran around saying "what do we do"?? I didnt know either to laugh or cry, so I just sat on the bed and laughed. We were not ready for him to come this early, we didn't have anything ready, no bags packed nothing. I then began to cry and panic. We got it together and packed a bag, called my Dr and my mom and headed to the hospital. Having your water break is the weirdest feeling, and I still kept coming out during each contraction. I wasn't aware I was having contractions though, didnt know what they felt like. Hah.

We arrived at the hospital around 1:30am, as we pulled up I turned to Chris and said, "I dont want to do this, I am not ready". He did a nervous laugh and said, welp unfortunately its's too late to back out love. Hah. They gave me patosum to speed up the process and around 5:30am I got the epidural, I wanted to wait as long as I could but they were getting bad. I was also so nervous and scared and wishing my mom was with me, I was shaking and my blood pressure was getting really high. At that time I was dialated to a 4 1/2. After that epidural it went somewhat fast, I was dialated to a 6 around 9:30 and had to wear an oxygen mask because baby was having a irregular heart beat because the cord was wrapped around his shoulders. Then at 11 I was dialated to a 9 1/2 and they said "time to go". Ahh...I was freakin out. My aunt Sheena was in the room with me as well as Chris. Thank goodness for them. (but I was really missing and needing my mom..I said multiple prays and as soon as I started pushing I could feel my mom right there beside me) I pushed for about 20 minutes and little Mikey was here at 11:27am 6 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches. Such an amazing feeling, I never knew I could love someone so much. =)

32 week appointment

Well, I have to brag a wee bit. I had my 32 week appt yesterday and I was kinda nervous. My last appt the Dr said baby was 3 weeks ahead of schedule..weight wise. Yikes. And I needed to watch my weight and blood pressure more. So needless to say, I was not looking forward to seeing him yesterday. So at my appt... drum roll please...The Dr said my weight and blood pressure were "sickeningly good" (hah). And I dont need to come back for 3 weeks, I love being an A+ student. =) He he. Oh, he also assured me that I wont be having a 20 pound baby. Phew! And my due date is still the same, June 25th!!

Here are some fun facts about Peanut: He has a big ol head, big feet, a big cute belly, and big lips. (so says the ultrasounds) I think hes gonna be a handsome football player. =)

Bad week

I have no ankle!!

Oh goodness, where to start. Monday when I got home from work my feet were SO beyond swollen it was insane. I was also overly emotional so that was fun. Chris was rubbing my feet and I was sobbing, partially because I was so swollen I couldn't feel it, and I was just exhausted, stressed, and ready to be done with this pregnancy. Tuesday, I woke up with morning sickness. usually I throw up and then I am good so I decided to have some breakfast, nope. Threw that up too, and lunch, and water, and just stomach bile. It was so splendid. My stomach hurt so bad, like cramping. I called my Dr and it was after hours so I left a message for him to call me back...no call back. Awesome. Wednesday I woke up feeling the same and threw up again, but we need the money so I went to work and luckily I began to feel better as the day went on. Now on to Thursday, I felt fine until the bedtime. Around 1:30am I woke up feeling like a large person was sitting on my chest. And I've had this feeling before but it lasts for about 5 minutes and kinda push baby down off my ribs and or lungs. But this time, nothing was working. I was struggling for breath and panicking (not a good combo), and in case that wasn't enough, I also thew up twice. I tried everything, and it just wasn't helping. I prayed and decided if it continued for another 15 min. we would head to the hospital...thank goodness, it got better within 5 minutes. I then called my Dr, and same thing..left a message and no call back. And Friday the office is closed. So lets just say, it was not such a fun week. I hate to switch Dr's this far into the pregnancy, but I've never done this before and I sure would like to have a Dr that calls me back, and can answer my questions. Hes a good Dr, but I just need someone more personable. It was quite scary. I am going to set my next appt with another Dr and clinic and see how it goes. =)

It's getting harder and harder to sleep, I just can't get comfortable..it's so fun. Hah. I've also decided that I like the pants that go over the belly rather than the ones that stay under..the under the belly just feels awkward, like people can tell my pants are falling down or something. Ha. Baby is moving around alot too. Sometimes he kicks so hard it hurts, and it feels like I can just grab hold of his little foot. =) I am ready to be done with the pregnancy thing but oh man only 10 weeks to go scares me. Yikes! =)

Easter was fabulous! We went to Chris's parents house for breakfast and an Easter egg hunt for his nieces and nephew. It was surprisingly a nice day which was awesome. We even got a little "hunt" as well, it was a Easter basket for little peanut (well big peanut, hah). It was filled with onesies, socks, a little chew toy, stuffed animal and a fleece blanket. Chris also got me a new maternity shirt, chocolate bunny, and a cute chick stuffed animal. I wasn't expecting anything, so it made me cry. It was such a wonderful day to spend with family and remember why we celebrate this special day. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Bates for a wonderful day, the three of us love you tons!!

Well, I don't have any new pictures or any news so I thought I would share some interesting facts about your truly. HAH. (pregnancy and regular tid-bits)

1. I am definitely not one those women who "loved" being pregnant. I am so excited for little boy to come into this world..but having morning sickness still..yah not so much fun.

2. I enjoy cleaning in the evening. I go from room to room and sometimes can't stop.

3. I always, always cry while watching Extreme makeover home edition. (even when I wasn't prego)

4. Since being pregnant, I have cried my eyes out while watching; Mulan, Aladdin and Jon and Kate plus 8.

5. I HAVE to have the toilet paper facing up on the roll. I hate when it's under and you have to find it. Arrggg.

6. I used to hate milk, now I love it! Chris and I go through at least 2 gallons a week. Sometimes 3. Thank goodness for Costco. Hah.

7. When stressed or sad or angry, I go to Target and walk around. Spend an hour or so, and im good.

8. My current favorite radio station is: 97.3 "The Breeze, the smoothest hits on your radio". Hah, wow I am getting so old. The other stations music are just too loud.

9. When I get sick (morning sickness), it's so rough that I break blood vessels in my face..cheeks, forehead, all over. It looks like I have red freckles. And it lasts for days. I have also broken vessels in my eyes. It's really attractive. Hah.

10. I LOVE big accessories. Purses, earrings, sunglasses. Love them. =)

11. My new hobby is scrapbooking. I haven't started yet but I am pretty excited about the whole event. I'll still do the blog but I also want real pictures. =) So, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

12. I can give some mean death glares. Sometimes I dont even realize I am doing it.

13. I am not a morning person. And now I get irritable when it's too late. So basically, I am an afternoon kind of gal.

14. I would love to be an Ultrasound tech and/or a Labor and delivery nurse or assistant. I am hoping to start school soon. Probably start online and then do night classes when baby is here.

15. My family moves back to states in June. It will be the first time in 6 years that we're all in the states. Justin, Ogden. Jessica, Idaho, Tyler, Provo and Mom/Dad, Seattle and Utah. =)

23 week ultrasound

So upset for being woken up. But oh so cute.

I had, what they call a Targeted ultrasound on Monday. Which is just a more high tech ultrasound to make sure babies organs and everything are functioning properly. And they are! The Tech said baby has nice big lips and big ol feet. (thanks to me, hah). We got a couple good face pictures but little peanut was being so stubborn (wonder where he gets that from) and wouldn't move his hands and arms from his face. And the shots we did get are just so cute but sad, he has a big pout on his face probably from being woken up. The tech kept moving me forward and then all the way back in the chair. It was like being at Disneyland. Hah ha. But all in all, he is doing great. It was so neat and kinda weird to see him kicking, and also feel it at that same time. He moves around a ton after I drink milk..guess I'll need to get some more cookies to go with that milk. =) Peanut is still a week ahead of schedule and weighing in at a whooping 1 pound 9 ounces. =)

Such a wonderful man I have, Chris knows that I am not a fan of Valentines Day so he surprised me with "Kat's special day" on Sunday. He left early in the morning to "run errands" I slept in and spend the morning being lazy. He then picked me up and took me to get my eyebrows and lip waxed (much needed). While I was getting waxed he went to the store next door and got more items. I came out from the salon and was welcomed with a bouquet of beautiful red roses. We then came home and Chris started on dinner. He made a yummy feast. Turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy and the best ever cherry cheesecake pie..mmm makes my mouth water. It was so great! (I am still having morning sickness so, I did end up throwing it up..but no worries, I was just ready for thirds! Hah) And he also gave me.... drum roll please.... A ring!! It is so pretty. He said it's just something little for now, but I love it. I can't wear it for a few days though cause it's getting resized. It was by the far, the best Non Valentines Day EVER!!

I had an appt today. Things looked great. Baby is a week ahead of schedule, but Dr said to not change my due date it's still June 25th. Hes 14 ounces, and moving alot. The day I dropped of mom at the airport I felt him moving around so much, it was such a comfort. Chris and I registered today at Target and tomorrow at Babies r us. The bedroom theme is so cute!! Blues and browns and little designs and elephants. I can't wait!! I have sadly, grown out of my jeans and most of my work pants, so sad. My mom and I went shopping though so I have a plethora of cute maternity outfits to choose from. I have been feeling alot better, but still having some spurts of morning sickness. One day I am great, then the next 2 days I'll throw up morning and night. It's really great, somewhat like a fun game. Hah.

My mom came to Utah for a visit!! It was such a great 2 weeks. We got Justin all ready for boot camp and just hung out together. Poor (or lucky) Chris hardly saw me the whole time. As many of you know, I am very attached to my wonderful mother. I cried the whole day that she left. Sad to say goodbye, but it was a great time we shared.I can't wait for her next visit, and this will be a visit for good!!! Well, everything is going well. My next appt is February 2nd so I'll have more updates then. I am over the morning sickness and food is oh so yummy again. I am having a hard time sleeping though. I love to sleep on my stomach and back so it's hard to sleep on my sides now. My hips get achy and sore, so I am constantly tossing and turning durning the night. Fun for Chris I imagine. Hah. Today we found out that I am having a boy!! I am 15 weeks along, the Dr said the baby is still small but he could definitely see his little pee pee. If you look closely at the picture you can see his hands are back behind his head and his legs are stretched out. Hes totally just lounging, just hanging out. Hah! Wow I can't believe another year has come and gone, it's crazy how fast they go. Well, our Christmas was great, but it was also my first one without my family so it was kinda hard for me. Luckily I talk to them at least once a day so that helped alot. =)

Christmas eve Chris and I went to his parents house for presents and dinner. I was a little nervous because I was going to be meeting his sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephew and grandmother for the first time. But, I had no reason to worry. It was wonderful! They were all very welcoming and I loved his sister! We visited and watched Mama Mia (so funny), and then ate. It was so good. Food is actually starting to sound good and taste good to me now, so I was digging in. We had turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole (my favorite), and fruit salads. It was so yummy! We then came home and filled each others stockings and went to bed.

Christmas morning we woke up and opened presents from each other and went to breakfast. Later than afternoon I went to my Grandmas house and did a gift exchange and had some yummy food there too. Chris wasn't feeling well so he stayed home, he had been working alot the past couple weeks and I think it was just catching up to him. I stayed and visited there for a few hours and slowly drove home in the snow. It took me forever, but better safe than sorry..and I am still not used to this weather.

All in all, it was a great Holiday season. I hope you all had a great one as well. I am looking forward to 2009, I think it's going to be the best one yet!! Love you all!!

I haven't been sick (or peed my pants) in one week!! Yeah me. Food is actually starting to sound good and tastes good as well. I am craving fruit all the time, fresh fruit, fruit juice, fruit snacks. Yum. Diet coke is still my saving grace, it soothes my tummy and is oh so good. Hah. It seems like I have more energy but I can still sleep all day. And my nails, oh gosh I haven't seen them this in..well in forever. I am a dedicated nail bitter but my nails are just so strong and long, too beautiful to nibble. =) My next appt is in January and I am hoping that we'll be able to find out the sex. I can't wait!! I'll keep you all posted. Love you.

The joy's of pregnancy

In case morning sickness isn't enough I had the wonderful opportunity to experience another event, not once, but twice... A few weeks ago I was on my lunch break enjoying a yummy corn dog and some fruit juice. I returned to work, clocked in and headed back to my wonderful area of Kid's Shoes. Yeah! Hah. But, as I was walking back I realized, yikes my food is not setting well. I jogged back to the restroom and as soon as I got close I had an urge (like I've been holding it for 2 years) that I had to go pee too. I ran into the stall and it was like a movie, I had no idea what to do first. I was going in circles, pee or vomit, pee or vomit..well while I was trying to decide, my body decided for me. The vomit came up and as I was having a blast doing that, I also peed my pants at the same time. As soon as I was done I stood there for a minute in shock and disbelief. I quickly walked out of the restroom and past Kid's Shoes..and said.."I don't feel good, I have to go home". I called my manager in the car, and let him know I got sick. And I drove 15 minutes home, in my pee pants. Lovely.

The second week of October I started to wonder why I had been getting up so often in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Hmm.. I wondered, but thought nothing of it. The next week at work I was feeling very nauseous and thought it was hunger pains, I told my co-worker that I was heading to lunch. I quickly shoved my Subway sandwich into my mouth like it was going out of style. Yum. But an hour or so later, I still felt sick. Weird. It was then that I decided I would take a pregnancy test. Drum roll....2 pink lines. I called Chris in a panic, and surprisingly he was already headed to my apartment, he said he had a "feeling". Aww tender I know. Well, I cried, sat in shock for quite a while, called my great friends and great mothers, Mandy and Jossie, and smoked my last cigarette. I knew they would calm me down and have words of wisdom for me. And they did. I love you both so much!!

After my first initial shock and feeling of fear, it's gotten easier. My family, especially my role model and wonderful mom have been so supportive and are getting so excited for Chris and I. I am so excited for the months to come and can not wait to met our new baby. =)

Well, we met through a mutual friend in March of 2008, and just hit it off. We're both so comfortable together and he makes me laugh non stop. We've had our ups and downs, as does every couple, but have realized how wonderful we really are together. It's been an amazing 9 months that the two of us have shared together, and I can't wait to share our love with our new baby...
